We look forward to being together as a WDA Staff body as we take an in-depth look back at the ministry that inspired the formation of a worldwide discipleship association.
Join WDA for a refreshing retreat getaway focused on the life of Jesus through the Harmony of the Gospels. Learn to apply timeless disciple-building principles in diverse cultural contexts. Through immersive sessions, collaboration, and spiritual reflection, you’ll leave equipped, inspired, and connected.
Note: Time to unplug! Chalets do not have TV/WiFi. Limited cell service. Linens & supplies are provided in chalets. See a list of other notes & amenities provided here.
Lodging
Lodging available on a first come, first serve basis.
Enjoy peaceful mountain chalets with various sleeping options to fit your needs. The following rates include the conference base cost. Lodging is limited; available on a first come, first serve basis.*
- Private Queen Bed (Enclosed Room): $350/person
- Shared Queen Bed: $225/person
- Twin Bed (Loft): $200/person
- Sleeper Sofa (Living Area): $125/person

*Other nearby lodging options can be found and purchased at airbnb.com, vrbo.com, or Roan Mountain State Park.
If you choose to organize off-site lodging, you are only responsible for paying WDA the $125 base conference cost.

• Evening – Roan Mountain Hike (optional) / Free Time
Day 3 – Insights to Action
• Morning – Team Presentations & Discussion
• Afternoon – Adapting for Global Discipleship + Action Plans
• Evening – Grill Out (Provided)
Day 4 – Communion & Commissioning
• Morning – Worship, Communion & Commissioning
• 11:00 AM – Deadline to Check Out from Cottages
• 12:00 PM – Lunch (Provided) & Departures
Packing List
- Clothing and toiletries (the essentials for a comfortable stay)
- Breakfast items and snacks for your cottage (WDA will provide lunches and dinners)
- Comfortable walking shoes or sneakers for getting around the campus
- Bible, notepad, and pen for sessions and personal reflection
- Hiking boots and gear if you plan to join the group hike
- Spending money for the gift shop or local thrift finds
- A favorite book or a few games to enjoy during free time

If you are traveling from outside the United States to join us for staff conference and require a visa, we are happy to provide an official invitation letter to support your application. WDA will cover your base conference costs and lodging.
