Silvia Menjivar Ly
Services Coordinator
Georgia, U.S.

Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, my family is originally from Honduras, and I grew up in a home where we knew of God, but personally did not know Him as Lord and Savior. That all changed during my junior year of high school when a friend invited me to their church, where I truly heard and understood the Gospel for the first time. From that moment, the Lord continued drawing my heart towards Him, and in 2014 I accepted Christ and was baptized soon after. Despite strong pushback from my family, I felt an undeniable call to attend Bible college to build a solid foundation for my faith. That led me to Toccoa Falls College, where I majored in Business Administration and minored in Bible & Theology.
Over the years, God has placed me in various administrative and customer service roles in nonprofit and for-profit spaces. He has used these experiences to shape my heart for service, showing me the importance of holistic well-being and caring for physical and spiritual needs. With a deep passion for community, I pursued a Master of Public Health from the University of Arizona online, focusing on health promotion and health behavior. No matter where I’ve been, my prayer has always been to remain sensitive to the Lord’s leading, keeping my heart available to serving in ministry and faith-based organizations.
That’s why I’m so grateful to be part of the WDA family as the Services Coordinator! I support the main office and ensure that everyone who connects with WDA, including staff, donors, and customers, feels valued and well cared for. More than just handling logistics, I see this as an opportunity to help create a welcoming and efficient environment that reflects Christ’s love and commitment to discipleship.
I live in Stockbridge, Georgia, with my husband, John, and my sweet mother-in-law. I’m also blessed to be a stepmom to my super cute son, Uriah! He’s 7 years old, full of life, and a constant reminder of God’s overflowing grace in my life. Together, my husband and I actively serve at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Jonesboro, where we are passionate about ministering to young adults, nurturing their faith, and building a strong, Christ-centered community by doing life together.
Thank you so much for your prayers and support! If there’s anything I can do to assist you, from paperwork to prayer, please reach out.
And just so you know, I’ve been told I laugh a lot, so be ready for some good laughs !
