Ken and Betty Hewett

Emeritus International Director and Staff

Fayetteville, GA, U.S.

Ken and Betty Hewett served with WDA’s campus ministry from the early days of WDA ministry, and then launched the International Ministry in the 1980s.  Ken traveled internationally to teach pastors, church leaders ,and seminary students how to disciple people, building them up in Christ-like character. His emphasis was on Asia and Africa. Evangelism has been the passion of the church for hundreds of years while building people in their faith has been ignored. This has resulted in many problems within the church. Ken’s teaching has given pastors globally the tools needed to deal with these problems, and is impacting generations of new believers. Betty has been the behind the scenes operational powerhouse that has supported Ken’s ministry work and WDA’s international operations as a whole!

They also have a heart for addressing social needs by helping raise finances for Shalom Orphanage in Karatu, Tanzania, baking and sewing projects in Malawi, and emergency medical needs in Tanzania, Kenya, and Malawi.

Ken and Betty retired from full-time WDA ministry several years ago but they remain faithful partners to the ministry and help to support our current staff financially and administratively.
