Dede Eller
WDA Publications Team Intern
Pickens SC, U.S.
Dede (Eades) Eller is now serving as an Intern on WDA’s publishing team. Her history with WDA goes back to her days as a student at Furman University. There, Dede led women’s small group Bible studies, was a member of an outreach group to inner-city children and local churches, and participated in WDA’s Techwood Summer Mission Project in inner-city Atlanta.
In 1985, Dede joined WDA’s campus staff at the University of Georgia where she led several women’s small group Bible studies and worked with students who volunteered at housing projects in Athens. Her second summer with the Techwood Summer Project as a WDA staff provided her the opportunity to be the elementary director, mentoring WDA students who worked with preschool and elementary children from Techwood. It was there that God made clear His call on her to teach. After leaving WDA staff, Dede began teaching middle school English and has loved her almost 30 years in the classroom.
Dede brings her expertise in writing, editing, and proofreading from the classroom to WDA. She sees it as a blessing to be part of the process to get WDA’s resources into the hands of people around the world.
Dede and her husband David reside in Pickens, SC, and have two adult sons who regularly call on David and Dede to pet-sit Lou and Bandit. They have been active in their church’s ministries throughout their marriage working with preschoolers, youth, and adults, serving and leading in a variety of roles.
