Becky Neufeld
Director of Generosity
WDA Headquarters, Fayetteville, Georgia, U.S.
Raised in Central California, Becky Neufeld asked Jesus into her heart at 5 years of age when her brother dared her to go forward at the invitation during a children’s crusade and she did!
Missions were not part of Becky’s dream for the future. But God began preparing her as she attended Biola University, a school known for preparing missionaries for her undergrad years. After earning a Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders, she was on the career track working with a large rehab private practice based in Beverly Hills when God invited her to spend a summer in China. That summer, not too long after the end of Mao’s Cultural Revolution, made the Great Commission important to her. She returned to China the next year and continued to serve there 13 years. Seeing how God impacted people in a country that worked so hard to deny Him broke Becky’s heart and gave her a new purpose.
Becky returned to the States in 2000 and continued to work with China projects until 2017.
In recent years she trained as a life coach specializing in change and transition and worked in a women’s clothing store. She loved the opportunities to mention the name of Jesus to customers and saw how a few minutes of love and a quick hug could change a person. Watching people grow and discover who they are from God’s perspective makes her heart sing.
Joining WDA is partial fulfillment of a promise God made to her before leaving China ministry. Cultivating generosity is really encouraging a deeper sense of God’s purpose and journey for one’s life. She can’t wait to see what God has in store that is bigger than what she can think or imagine.
