Wendy has such a heart for healing. She has experienced miraculous healing in her heart/emotions, marriage, and her body. In 2022, she joined the Restoring Your Heart leadership team as a volunteer. She has now joined the staff of WDA and leads several Restoring Your Heart groups for women, acts as an RYH Ambassador to help churches & ministries launch RYH, and also serves with HEAL Ministries in Jinja, Uganda to provide member care as Spiritual Advisor to interns, board, and staff.  Her desire is that others would experience the deep healing love of Jesus. 

She grew up in a Christian home and has known the Lord since the age of five. In 2017, she had a supernatural encounter with the Lord that forever changed her life. The Lord awakened her and ignited her spirit. Her passion is to share the life-transforming love of Jesus with all she meets and to see people walk in the fullness of who God created them to be.

Her favorite thing to do is to have table fellowship over a shared meal and to have heart-connected conversations. She and her husband, “Mighty Joe” Young, reside in Brentwood, TN, and celebrated 38 years of marriage in 2023. They have two adult children.
