Parks is co-director of the WDA Next Generation ministry at Purdue University. He is a “Faculty Fellow” for a floor in Tarkington Residence Hall. The Faculty Fellow program is designed by Purdue University to give students access to faculty and staff in a relaxed atmosphere outside of the classroom. There are many opportunities to mentor and support the men living there.
He works with the brothers at Farmhouse Fraternity, mentoring the chaplain and helping out with the Bible study. He is also an advisor for Acacia Fraternity. The Next Gen Purdue team also has a ministry training group that gives students an opportunity for further development in their ministry skills.
He also leads “Restoring Your Heart” groups. These are emotional recovery groups to help men process any unresolved pain and emotional issues in their lives.
Parks’ wife, Julie, is an advisor for Stewart Cooperative House, mentoring the women and helping them maintain a Biblical worldview in their house.
Parks lives in Lafayette, Indiana with his wife Julie.
